About

Still finding my voice.

I’m Aditya Shankar. I graduated from UNC in 2025, and what I actually care about is telling stories.

Photography is how I’ve started doing that. I’m early enough in it that a lot of these frames are me working out what my voice even sounds like, and I’d rather show you that honestly than pretend I arrived already knowing.

Most of what’s here comes from two trips: Banff and the Canadian Rockies in the summer of 2025, then the Colorado high country the year after. Mountains, a pair of red foxes in long grass, cliff dwellings that have been standing for nine hundred years, and the people I was walking with. I wasn’t shooting to fill a portfolio. I mostly wanted to find out whether I could hold a scene together.

I’m going to keep doing this everywhere I go. If you want a print, or want me to shoot something, or just want to ask how one of these happened, send me an email.
